Earlier this afternoon our studio lost power, phone lines and Internet. Caused by a fallen tree bringing down power lines, we've been told not to expect service to be restored for the next 6-7 hours.

The UK has woken up this morning to find itself under several inches of snow. Snow is still falling heavily, and while all staff members at PlasmaDesign have made it into the office this morning, we’ll be monitoring the conditions throughout the morning and may well decide to shut the office early. We’ll update our Twitter feed later today.
There is also a possibility that shipments from PlasmaDesign will be delayed if Fedex are unable to reach us for collection. We’ll update all customers by email through the course of today.

Following more heavy snowfall throughout the day we’ve decided to close the office a couple of hours earlier than usual (3pm GMT) to allow staff to navigate the snowy roads while there is still some daylight left. The forecast looks more promising over the weekend so we expect to be back in the office as normal on Monday morning at 9am GMT.
2012 has been a busy year for PlasmaDesign. We’ve completely overhauled our web site and relocated to larger premises. Now we are looking to fill three new vacancies at our studio in Hampshire, UK. Details on each position, and how to apply, can be found on our ‘careers’ page.
The PlasmaDesign family will be taking a well earned rest over the holiday season.
Friday 21st December will be the last shipping day of 2012. We’ll be working hard to ensure as many orders leave us before that date and will keep all customers up to date on our progress.
Wednesday 2nd January 2013 will see the resumption of production with shipping resuming on the same date.
During the holiday break our phone lines and online chat facility will be unmanned. We will be keeping one eye on our emails and will endevour to respond to urgent enquiries and customer support questions within 24 hours.
Today we delivered our 10,000th order to a small, family run business based in US.
We founded PlasmaDesign in 2007. In that time we’ve produced innovative cards for a multitude of different businesses, some big, some small. It’s easy to be starstruck when you find yourself working with a big household name, whether it be a celebrity or a large corporation. But the customers we are especially grateful to are those small, family run outfits. We know that for the small business, it’s personal. We’re grateful to every one of those 10,000 customers, each who trusted us with their ‘first impressions’.

The team at PlasmaDesign will be enjoying the last UK public holiday of the summer on Monday 27th August. We will return to work at 9am BST on Tuesday 28th August.
We’ve now added a section to the right hand panel of our blog page showing photos we’ve added to our Instagram and Flickr account. Sometimes we photograph our favourite cards currently in production. Sometimes we snap other team members, our peacocks or Lollie, the resident border terrier. Occasionally we’ll offer sneak peeks at new projects or products we’re developing.
Entries into our showcase, updated daily on our home page, will also be kept for prosperity in our showcase archive. In addition to a large thumbnail highlighting the card itself, we’ll also give you a little background behind the design process of each entry. Visit the daily showcase archive now.
