Power & Phone Service Disruption

We are temporarily without phone lines or electricity due to a transformer failure in our area. Our electricity provider is working to repair the faulty equipment but at present they are unable to offer an accurate timeline for its restoration. In the meantime we are unable to answer phone calls. However we are still responding to emails and live chats as normal. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Easter Public Holiday in UK

Please note that due to the Easter public holiday in the UK, the PlasmaDesign offices will be closed on both Friday 6th April and Monday 9th April 2012. During this time our phone lines and online chat facility will be unmanned and we may take longer to respond to email enquiries than usual. Normal service will be resumed on Tuesday 10th April 2012.

Wild Weather!

Due to a heavy storm in our area last night, our premises has been left without power and phone lines. We are doing our best to get both services restored as swiftly as possible. However, in the meantime, we are unable to answer phone calls. We recommend contacting us by email or using the form on our ‘contact us’ page until power and phone lines have been restored.

Our Live Chat Widget

Along with a recent site redesign comes a revamped live chat facility, allowing visitors to easily ask questions and converse with an experienced member of our team. Our status is visible on the right side of every page on the site. When online, simply clicking the status indicator opens a live chat session. We understand that ordering a bespoke product can be a little daunting and we’re happy to try and answer any questions you may have.

We aim to be online Monday through Friday during the following hours…

  • 09:00 - 22:00 GMT
  • 10:00 - 21:00 CET
  • 04:00 - 17:00 EST
  • 03:00 - 16:00 CST
  • 02:00 - 15:00 MST
  • 01:00 - 14:00 PST

* Please note that our offices are closed at weekends.

Our New Metal & Plastic Card Portfolio

The holiday season maybe just around the corner, but the graphic design team at PlasmaDesign are still toiling away. Today we have added several new ‘portfolio’ pages to the site. We wanted to give visitors a way of effortlessly browsing through a representative sample of both the metal and plastic business card designs we have worked on over the last few years. The portfolio covers our entire range of products, including…

Each portfolio will be updated on a regular basis, showcasing business card designs that our graphic designers are particularly proud of. We hope you enjoy browsing through the collection of metal and plastic business card, standard card and stationery examples.

Holiday Season Opening Hours

The PlasmaDesign team is working hard  this week to ensure as many orders are shipped before Christmas as possible. We will then be taking a much deserved break starting on 24th December running through to 2nd January. During this period our phones will be unmanned and manufacturing will be suspended. We will, however, be monitoring our email accounts and responding to urgent enquiries. We will reopen at 9AM GMT on 3rd January 2012.

2012 - A New Chapter

2012 beckons big changes and new challenges for the PlasmaDesign family. First up is our website. Founded back in 2003, it was primarily a vehicle to bring our desktop wallpapers to a wide audience. Over the years our business has morphed. Our site, on the other hand, had stayed much as it was when first developed. So today we are cutting the past free and launching a completely new look. New logo, new web site and a renewed focus on helping visitors discover PlasmaDesign, our products and our services.

We are really proud of how the new site looks. But we’re even prouder of it’s content. We’ve tried to give end users far more information about how their business cards are produced, how our free design service works and how to take advantage of it. There is up to date data on lead times and a new, regularly updated portfolio of previous business card designs that we hope will provide inspiration.

For designers we have added detailed tech specs, templates and swatches. And over time we intend on adding useful reference articles that demystify some of the terms and jargon used by the design and print community. In contrast to our old static site, we see the new incarnation as a living, breathing and evolving creature. It’s been developed from the ground up, to be easy to update and we intend on taking full advantage of this.

Stay tuned.
