Tinted Translucent Plastic Cards

Our tinted translucent plastic cards are created by chemically laminating a plastic colour gel with a layer of translucent polymer. The surface of the card has a matt texture helping to beautifully diffuse light as it passes through. One by one, our artisan hot foil printers apply each metallic or pigment ink to the cards surface using traditional methods. Fine detail? No problem. Precise registration? No problem. We take pride while producing your cards, ensuring you can take pride in handing them out.

      Crafted By Hand

Each ink is applied to the plastic using 200°C of heat and approx 4 tonnes per sq/inch of pressure to ensure a great bond.

Each colour is laid carefully on to the plastic on separate passes. 

A tinted translucent gel is chemically fused with the printed plastic layer. The result is a beautiful tinted plastic business card, vibrant, playful and original. 

An Array Of Colours

Each card is created by bonding a sheet of polymer plastic with a coloured translucent plastic gel. The tinted translucent plastic business cards are available in ten brilliant colours; red, fuchsia, purple, amber, yellow, cyan, blue, evergreen, lime green and smoked grey. Each shade has been carefully selected by our graphics team and matched to a range of complimentary inks.  

Beautiful Metallic Inks

As well as standard pigment inks, we’re able to apply stunning metallic inks to the plastic. Our range of metallic colours are vibrant and highly reflective; the ever popular silver being almost chrome-like. We even stock a defractional ink that spreads the white light hitting its surface into the colours of the spectrum. 

‘To The Edge’ Graphics

Many of our competitors have chosen to automate the printing process. To do so the blank plastic card has to be gripped on at least two sides as it passes through their automated printing equipment. This prevents them from printing to the edge of the card. We have chosen a different path. We take pride in the handcrafted nature of our product. Each card is aligned and printed using traditional techniques. Our choice to avoid automation means we can run rings around the limitations of more automated suppliers, including printing to the very edge if required. 

Free Design Service

We provide a completely free design service to all customers who don’t already have artwork. Once we have collected a few pieces of information, our design team will put together an initial concept and first draft. We then create a photo-realistic, digital mockup using our innovative proofing system. This shows how the card would look once produced. Using your feedback, we make revisions until you are 100% happy with the layout.  

QR Codes

We can generate and add a QR code to your business cards. Easily scanned using most modern smartphones with a camera, QR codes can contain many types of data. Common examples would be a URL, contact details or wifi settings.  

Dual Plane Printing

The translucent nature of the plastic means that text and graphics printed on its back can be viewed from the front. This allows us to create interesting visual effects with rear side printing appearing to sit behind graphics and text printed on the front face.
