Coloured Metal Cards

Available in a beautiful selection of vibrant hues, our coloured metal cards are manufactured by first cutting and etching the design on to the raw cosmetic grade rolled steel. We then lower the card into a vat of tinted lacquer and pass an electrical current through the steel. The current draws the lacquer to the cards surface, providing a strong bond between the two and a perfectly even coating of colour. The result is a coloured metal card that retains the spectacular visual properties of steel. 

      State Of The Art Precision

Detail like text is chemically milled away from the card by applying a photo-resistive film to the surface and exposing the steel to acid.

The metal is tinted with colour using an electrophoretic lacquer. 

Cut-throughs are achieved by etching into the same position on the front and back of the stainless steel until the two areas meet.

An Array Of Colours

Once we have cut and etched the stainless steel, we colour the metal by lowering each card into a vat of tinted electrophoretic lacquer. An electrical current is passed through the steel, drawing the lacquer to the card and chemically fusing the colour to the surface. The result is a beautifully even colouration that retains the appearance of stainless steel. Our coloured metal business cards are available in seven brilliant hues; berry red, fuchsia, citrus green, cobalt blue, gold, copper and graphite grey.

Cosmetic Grade Stainless Steel

All of our metal cards are produced using cosmetic grade, rolled stainless steel. As a result the grained texture is always consistent and unblemished. The card has memory, allowing it to spring back to shape when flexed. And because its stainless steel, every day use won’t cause it to tarnish or corrode over time.  

Cut & Etch

Using our precision photo-chemical milling process, we can etch and cut the steel with incredible precision. This allows for intricate patterns, perforations and grilles. Rather than printing on to the surface of the metal, which tends to rub away over time, we etch the text into the steel itself. The lighter core of the steel is revealed providing contrast between the etched and unetched metal.  

Free Design Service

We provide a completely free design service to all customers who don’t already have artwork. Once we have collected a few pieces of information, our design team will put together an initial concept and first draft. We then create a photo-realistic digital mockup using our innovative proofing system. This shows how the card would look once produced. Using your feedback, we make revisions until you are 100% happy with the layout.
