Cherry Eve (Members Only) I have been toying with this image for quite a while now. I could never quite get the sky looking quite right or the perspective accurate. I was inspired to persevere with it after browsing through a book of photos of the New Forest, UK. |

Celtic Twilight (Members Only)The abbey was modeled in Lightwave and transferred to Vue d'Esprit. I probably spent more time trying to get the atmosphere exactly as I wanted it than I did on the rest of the image put together. i think the effort was worth it resulting in a really dramatic sky. |

Glacier (Members Only)I was emailed by a visitor who pointed out to me that most of my landscapes tend to be of a tropical or water-based nature. He asked if I plan on creating any images of valleys or mountains. This is my response. Believe it or not there are over 90 fir trees in this composition. I also spent many hours trying to get the mountainous terrain exactly as I wanted it with fluvial erosion and all. |
Canyon Gateway This image started out as an experiment on terrain clipping in Vue d'Esprit 4. (Previously I had only had experience at clipping in Bryce 5). Through trial and error I carved out the archway found in this image and then added the surrounding canyons and vegetation to complete the scene. |

GansuI went for a chinese meal on my birthday (3rd Sept for anyone who wants to send me gifts :-). On the wall of the restaurant were several images of the Great Wall of China. I was impressed with the walls surroundings and carried out a little research on the net. This image is my interpretation of one of the many regions through which the Great Wall runs (the rural area of the Chinese province, Gansu. |

Monument Cove The monument was modeled in Lightwave 7 and then imported into Vue. Taken completely from my own imagination, I am particularly proud of this piece. |
|
Foreign Field I used a preset Vue sky which originally had the clouds positioned at the top of the composition. When the bombers were imported I arranged them so they were flying upside down and the flipped the whole image in Photoshop to give the impression that the clouds were below the bombers. |

Loch (Members Only)Being my interpretation of a cold but colorful winters twilight on the banks of a Scottish loch, I used a particularly wide 'virtual' lens to create the expansive skyscape. A day time version is also available depicting a more threatening stormy sky. |
|
Palm Drive (Members Only)Inspired by the beaches of Miami. This was created by recycling the wireframe world of 'Bora', an image also found in this collection. A simple change of camera angle and location, a new sky and time of day and voila! |
OregonMuch work went into creating and positioning the plants in this piece. Both the ferns, bushes and trees were created using Vue d'Esprit's excellent vegetation generator. |

The Needles (Member Only)Based on the needles off of the coast of the Isle of Wight, UK, a fair amount of artistic license has been applied with 3 vertical rocks instead of four. |
|
Red Maple Originally just a doodle, I added the atmosphere and background terrain at a later date. To my surprise, this has become one of my most popular pieces and achieved No.1 in Digital Blasphemies' Users Gallery Top 10 in June 2002 |
